About O'Ptasia
O’Ptasia is an 85-meter (278’0″) motor yacht built by the Greek shipyard Golden Yachts and delivered in 2018, with her hull and superstructure repainted in 2024. Exterior and interior design both came from Rome-based Studio Vafiadis, who gave her a low, sporty profile that was the largest in the Golden Yachts fleet at launch. She sleeps up to 12 guests across 10 staterooms, cared for by a crew of 29.
She has the awards to show for her design and charter record: the International Superyacht Society named her Power 65m+ winner in 2019, and Fraser’s Captains’ Soirée awarded her Best Overall Charter Yacht in 2025. Onboard highlights include a helipad, a dedicated movie theatre, a spa and gym, an elevator connecting her decks, underwater lighting, and a beach club built around a large social terrace at the waterline.
Guest Accommodation
O’Ptasia’s 10 staterooms are arranged for both family groups and larger charter parties. The owner’s suite sits on the upper deck with 180-degree views, while a full-beam VIP suite spanning roughly 95 square meters occupies the main deck. The remaining accommodation is split between double and twin cabins, with one extra stateroom that converts to a hospital or staff cabin when needed.
With 29 crew looking after up to 12 guests, O’Ptasia runs at a high service ratio even by superyacht standards. Guests who want a clearer sense of who does what onboard can read our guide to yacht charter crew roles before their trip.
Onboard Amenities
The spa and steam room sit alongside a fully equipped gym, giving guests somewhere to unwind or train regardless of the day’s itinerary. The beach club opens directly onto the water, and a swimming pool and jacuzzi on the open deck suit more low-key afternoons. In the evening, the movie theatre and underwater lighting both add to the experience onboard.
An elevator serves all decks, a helipad allows for direct arrivals, and satellite communications and Wi-Fi keep guests connected throughout a charter. Air conditioning and at-anchor stabilizers are fitted throughout for comfort in warmer cruising months.
Cruising Performance
O’Ptasia is built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, powered by twin Caterpillar diesel engines rated at roughly 3,386hp (2,525kW) each. She cruises comfortably at 17 knots, with a top speed cited in the high teens depending on the source and sea conditions. At-anchor stabilizers help keep the ride comfortable once she’s settled in a bay.
She charters primarily through the Greek islands and the wider Eastern Mediterranean, a cruising ground well suited to her size and the long summer season most guests book around.
Toys & Water Equipment
O’Ptasia carries a broad water toy collection for guests of all ages and ability levels. A jet ski, four water skis, a seabob, wakeboards, kayaks, and inflatable toys cover most on-water activities, while five towable toys add to the fun for larger groups.
Tender arrangements are equally well equipped, with four tenders onboard including a 9.75m (32′) Onda Limo tender for guest transfers and excursions ashore.
