About Grand Ocean

The Grand Ocean combines true superyacht volume with the pedigree of Blohm + Voss. At 279 ft (85 m), she welcomes up to 24 guests in 14 cabins, with interiors by Alberto Pinto that suit both relaxed cruising and higher-profile entertaining.

Delivered in 1990, Grand Ocean is arranged across multiple decks with a strong “lifestyle first” flow. Her generous interior and deck spaces support long, easy days on board, with standout features such as an elevator, beauty salon, and gym that help larger groups spread out without losing the sense of a shared onboard rhythm.

Guest Accommodation

Grand Ocean accommodates up to 24 guests in 14 suites, set up for flexible group travel. The cabin mix includes five doubles, six twins, and three singles, which works well for a combination of couples, friends, and older children or staff travelling with the party.

With up to 22 crew, service and deck operations are structured to run smoothly at full guest capacity. This setup is particularly practical for multi-generational groups, where different schedules and preferences can be handled without the yacht feeling “busy.”

Onboard Amenities

Onboard amenities on Grand Ocean are geared toward comfort, wellness, and easy downtime between ports and anchorages. Guests have access to a beauty salon, sauna, steam room, gym, and a swimming pool, plus a deck jacuzzi for low-key afternoons and sunset time underway.

Moving between decks is simple thanks to the elevator, while Wi-Fi and satellite communications keep guests connected when needed. Air conditioning supports comfort across warm-weather cruising, and stabilisation helps reduce motion for a calmer onboard feel during passages and at anchor.

Grand Ocean performance is built around a full-displacement platform with a steel hull and steel-and-aluminium superstructure, prioritising stability and comfort. Powered by twin Deutz engines, she cruises at 14 knots with a top speed of 18 knots, balancing passage comfort with reliable itinerary pacing typical of a large motor yacht.

For longer itineraries, Grand Ocean range reaches up to 9,100 nautical miles at 16 knots, supported by a 220,000-litre fuel capacity. This capability suits charter planning that mixes leisurely coastal cruising with occasional longer hops when the itinerary calls for it.

Toys & Water Equipment

Grand Ocean water toys are set up for active days at anchor and straightforward exploration from the yacht. The core kit includes:

Three tenders support guest transfers and day-to-day logistics, including a 12 ft (3.6 m) Novurania RIB for quick runs ashore. This tender setup helps with beach drops, port movements, and watersports handling when the yacht is operating at full guest count.
