About
Akula is a 52.32 meters (172 feet) motor yacht built by Baglietto, delivered in 2024 as the third hull in the builder’s T52 series. She debuted at the Monaco Yacht Show that year and went on to win the 2024 World Superyacht Award in the Displacement Motor Yachts category. Francesco Paszkowski Design drew the exterior, with Enrico Gobbi responsible for the interior.
Akula sleeps 10 guests in 5 cabins as standard, with two additional Pullman berths available for groups of up to 12. A crew of around 9 to 10 looks after the yacht, which spends winters in the Caribbean and Bahamas before moving to the Mediterranean each summer.
Guest Accommodation
The standard layout sleeps 10 guests across 5 cabins. Two further Pullman berths can extend capacity to 12 when needed, giving charter groups some flexibility between an intimate 10-guest booking and a larger party.
Onboard Amenities
A three-level beach club anchors the stern, and the main deck pool has a movable floor that can be concealed when not in use. The sundeck runs to roughly 24 meters (79 feet), the largest in her class, with a Jacuzzi set into it alongside a gym, a dedicated office, Wi-Fi, and air conditioning throughout.

Cruising Performance
Twin Caterpillar C32 diesel engines, each rated at 1,470hp (1,096kW), give Akula a cruising speed of around 11 to 12 knots and a top speed of 16 knots. That performance supports her seasonal pattern of Caribbean winters and Mediterranean summers without the compromises a slower displacement hull would bring to longer repositioning runs.
Toys & Water Equipment
A Fjord open tender and a Williams Jet Tender 445 cover transfers and short excursions, launched via a bow-mounted carbon-fiber crane. The wider toy locker includes inflatables, waterskis, kayaks, a paddleboard, wake equipment, snorkeling gear, jet skis, and fishing equipment, along with an anti-jellyfish pool for swimming at anchor.
