About Azteca
Azteca (registered as Azteca II) is a 49.7m/163’1″ motor yacht delivered by Nereids Yachts in 2005, with exterior and interior styling from Michael Leach Design. Her central agent reports a refit most recently completed in 2023, covering a full repaint, engine room overhaul, stabilisers and interior updates. She accommodates up to 12 guests across 6 cabins.
Her hull form (steel below, aluminium above) gives Azteca a solid profile suited to her current Mexico and Central America itineraries. Generous deck space supports easy indoor/outdoor living throughout a motor yacht charter. The layout suits groups who want both social space and private retreats onboard.
Guest Accommodation
Azteca sleeps up to 12 guests in 6 staterooms: one master, one VIP, two doubles and two twins. The configuration suits both couples travelling together and families who need separate sleeping arrangements for children.
A crew of up to 11 looks after the guest experience onboard, from meal service to coordinating watersports and shore excursions. Charter guests who want a fuller picture of how a yacht’s crew is organised can review our guide to yacht charter crew roles.
Onboard Amenities
Guests aboard Azteca have access to a fully equipped gym and a deck jacuzzi for relaxing between shore excursions. Wi-Fi keeps guests connected throughout the charter, and air conditioning maintains comfortable conditions below deck regardless of the weather outside.

Performance & Range
Below the waterline, Azteca combines a steel hull with an aluminium superstructure, driven by a pair of Caterpillar 3512B diesels. At her economical 12-knot setting she can cover roughly 5,400 nautical miles before refuelling, enough for longer passages between charter regions rather than just short coastal hops.
Stabilisers keep rolling motion in check both at anchor and while underway, which matters on multi-day itineraries where guests spend extended time at sea.
Toys & Water Equipment
Azteca carries a well-rounded range of water toys for guests who want to stay active between stops. Highlights include:
- Two SeaDoo RTX WaveRunners
- Seabob
- Waterskis and wakeboards
- Kite surfing equipment
- Stand-up paddleboard
- Scuba diving equipment
- Towable inflatables
Three tenders are carried onboard: a 10.3m Bimax, a Novurania Equator and an Arimar tender for guest transfers and excursions ashore.
Azteca Charter Locations
Azteca currently charters along Mexico’s Pacific coast, including the Los Cabos area, and in Central America and the Yucatan Peninsula. Guests interested in dates outside these regions should enquire directly, as availability and positioning can change between seasons.
