About Curiosity

Curiosity is a 45.2-meter (148-foot) motor yacht built by the Italian yard Cantieri Navali Nicolini. She was delivered in 1985 and underwent a major rebuild in 2021 followed by a further refit in 2023. The name is unrelated to Vibrant Curiosity, the 85.5-meter Oceanco megayacht owned by Reinhold W\u00fcrth; that vessel is privately owned and not available for charter, built by a different yard at nearly double the length.

Curiosity is based in Tuscany and cruises the West Mediterranean, typically operating along the Italian coast. Charter capacity runs to 12 guests over six cabins, and a 10-person crew handles the charter, with a gross tonnage of 320.

Design and Performance

A steel hull and aluminum superstructure form the base of Curiosity’s construction. Twin MTU diesel engines drive this motor yacht to roughly 11 to 12 knots cruising, with a top end near 16 knots.

At-anchor stabilizers keep motion comfortable once she settles for the night, a useful feature for a yacht of her vintage cruising the West Mediterranean’s busier anchorages.

Guest Accommodation

Across her six cabins, Curiosity accommodates up to 12 guests, with a crew of 10 on board to run the charter. The yacht’s layout reflects her 2021 rebuild and 2023 refit, both aimed at bringing the interior up to current charter standards while retaining the vessel’s classic Italian-built proportions.

Onboard Amenities

Onboard amenities include a jacuzzi on deck, a gym, air conditioning throughout and Wi-Fi for guests who want to stay connected between stops along the Italian coast.

The water toys inventory includes an inflatable banana boat, stand-up jet skis, kayaks, paddleboards, a wakeboard and water skis for adults, with a Castoldi jet tender for trips ashore.
