About Evolution
The 58.5m/191’11” motor yacht Evolution was built in 1979 by Kanasashi Shipyard in Japan and underwent a major refit in 2017. Her twin masts, dark hull and distinctive funnel date back to her original passenger-vessel design, now adapted for private charter. Evolution has berths for as many as 32 charter guests spread across 16 cabins, with a crew of 20 running the yacht.
Interior designer Adriana Hoyos led Evolution’s refit. Few charter yachts this length carry 16 separate cabins, which makes her a practical option for larger groups, multi-generational families and expedition-style charters that need more private space than a standard-size yacht can offer.
Guest Accommodation
Evolution’s accommodation is spread across 16 separate cabins, enough to sleep 32 charter guests at once, a high cabin count relative to her overall length. That gives groups more separation and privacy than a typical charter yacht offers, and suits larger parties traveling together.
Published cabin configurations vary between brokerage sources, so prospective charterers should confirm the exact bedding and suite layout directly at the time of inquiry.
Onboard Amenities
A jacuzzi set into the foredeck is one of Evolution’s signature features, surrounded by sunpads for relaxing between excursions. Wi-Fi keeps guests connected throughout the charter, and air conditioning maintains a comfortable interior regardless of season or cruising ground.
For time on the water, Evolution carries two tenders along with eight kayaks and a full set of snorkeling gear. It’s a practical set of equipment for exploring the waters and wildlife around her cruising grounds.

Performance & Range
Evolution cruises at 12 knots, and some aggregator listings report a range of around 4,000 nautical miles at that pace, though this figure comes from a single secondary source and has not been independently confirmed. Built with a full-displacement hull form typical of her 1979 vintage, she trades outright speed for a comfortable, stable ride.
That makes her better suited to longer passages and multi-day, expedition-style itineraries than fast island-hopping, which fits well with her primary cruising grounds.
