Draft is the number that usually limits where a 36 meter yacht can go, and Josephine I breaks that pattern. At just 2.05 meters (6’9″), her Mulder-built aluminium hull can tuck into shallow anchorages and smaller marinas that most yachts of her size have to skip entirely. Delivered in 2020, she carries up to 10 guests in 4 cabins with a crew of 6.

Design and Performance

Naval architecture from Van Oossanen shaped the hull that gives Josephine I her shallow draft without sacrificing the smooth ride expected of a 298 GT motor yacht. Twin Caterpillar engines push her to a 13 knot cruising speed and a 17 knot top end, figures that suit charter guests who want to cover ground between anchorages without long transit days.

At-anchor stabilizers keep the motion comfortable once she settles for the night, a detail that matters more than guests often expect when the wind picks up. Interior styling from Vickers Studio carries through the salon and cabins, favoring a calm, contemporary palette over anything heavy-handed.

Guest Accommodation

Josephine I sleeps 10 guests across 4 cabins, led by a full-beam master suite positioned on the main deck for easy access and a quieter ride. A VIP cabin and two further cabins, convertible between twin and double configurations, complete the layout, with bed arrangements covering 1 king, 1 queen, 4 singles and 2 pullmans.

The flexible twin/double cabins make this layout workable for families traveling with children as well as groups of couples who each want their own space. Charter guests planning a mixed-age trip will find the main-deck master particularly useful for anyone who prefers not to manage stairs at night.

Onboard Amenities

A swimming pool and a separate deck jacuzzi give guests two distinct ways to cool off, while the beach club opens the transom into a proper waterside lounge for swimming and boarding tenders. Wi-Fi and full air conditioning run throughout, along with bow and stern thrusters and at-anchor stabilizers that make close-quarters maneuvering and overnight comfort easier to manage.

Water toys are a real strength here: two Yamaha jet skis, a flyboard, two Seabobs, a surfboard, an inflatable paddleboard and fishing gear cover most tastes, backed up by a Williams 625 Dieseljet tender and a Grand chase boat for excursions ashore.
