About Katharine

Katharine is a 61.3 meters (201 feet) classic motor yacht built by CRN in 2000 and delivered as New Sunrise, with naval architecture by Studio Scanu and the interior by Zuretti. Her canoe stern gives her a classic profile, and several refits since delivery have kept the design current.

She carries twelve guests in six cabins with a crew of sixteen, and the seasonal pattern is part of her appeal: she works the Adriatic in summer.

For the winter she moves to the Bahamas and the wider Caribbean. The rotation makes her one of the more geographically flexible superyachts available to charter.

Guest Accommodation

All six guest cabins sit on the main deck. The full-beam master suite includes a private study, a large walk-in closet and a vanity desk in addition to the sleeping space.

A VIP suite with its own seating area, desk and walk-in wardrobe is joined by three double cabins and one twin cabin, all en suite, bringing the total to twelve guests. With sixteen crew for twelve guests, the service side is well covered.

Onboard Amenities

A self-playing baby grand piano anchors the upper lounge, an amenity that stands out even at this size. The sun deck carries a jacuzzi and a full beach club area for the guests.

Cruising Performance

Twin 2,000 hp Caterpillar engines move her at a 12 knot cruise on a steel hull and aluminum superstructure, with a maximum speed of 14 knots. Three generators support the electrical load.

Toys & Water Equipment

A 12 meters (39 feet) Intrepid Panacea 407 towed tender handles transfers, with a custom-built Gemini alongside. The waterline beach club keeps the toy locker, and the inventory runs to waverunners, Seabobs, eFoils, paddleboards, a waterslide plus dive, snorkeling and fishing gear.

The personal watercraft program is the standout: it is RYA-approved, so rather than simply offering jet skis for guests to use, she can run a proper PWC course on board with instruction to a recognized standard.
