About Lunaris
The 61.26m/201′ motor yacht Lunaris was built by German shipyard Lurssen in 2004, with interior styling by British design house Winch Design. She sleeps up to 12 guests across 6 cabins and carries a crew of up to 17.
Lunaris has carried five names since her 2004 delivery. She launched as Phoenix, then became Aurora after a sale that coincided with the build of the larger Lurssen flagship Phoenix 2. A later sale brought the name Avanti, then Marguerite following a 2021 refit and change of ownership, and most recently Lunaris after a January 2026 sale.
Her hull and core specifications have stayed consistent through each renaming, while successive refits, most recently a major 2021 refit, have updated parts of the interior while keeping the original Winch Design character.
Guest Accommodation
Lunaris sleeps 12 guests across 6 suites: a full-beam master cabin on the main deck, a VIP stateroom, three doubles and a twin. The master cabin has its own study, a dressing room and separate bathrooms for the two occupants, which gives the owner’s party genuine privacy rather than a larger version of the standard guest layout.
Up to 17 crew are available to run the yacht and look after guests throughout the charter.
Onboard Amenities
An enclosed, air-conditioned gym keeps a fitness routine going mid-charter, and the sundeck jacuzzi is a good spot to unwind after a day ashore. Lunaris also has a dedicated dive center, useful if guests want diving built into the itinerary instead of arranged separately through a local operator.
Wi-Fi and air conditioning are fitted throughout. The interior spans five decks built around 1,444 GT of volume, giving the social spaces real scale rather than concentrating most of the volume in the guest cabins.
Cruising Performance
Her hull is steel and the superstructure aluminium, built to a full-displacement profile that favors stability at anchor and a settled ride underway. Twin MTU 12V 4000 M70 engines (1,763 kW / 2,364 hp each) push her to a 14-knot cruise and a top speed in the mid-to-high teens.
Fuel capacity of 185,000 litres gives her roughly 7,700 nautical miles of range at 13 knots, enough for genuinely long passages rather than coastal hopping. She carries a 30-day self-sufficiency rating, a figure tied to her original brief as an ocean-going yacht meant for extended time aboard rather than short weekly loops.
Lunaris charters primarily in the Mediterranean through the summer season (May to September), with cruising grounds spanning France, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Croatia, Malta, Monaco and Montenegro depending on the specific itinerary.
At this size and rate level, most guests work with a broker on the APA and contract terms before confirming dates. Our guide to yacht charter APA explains how that budget line works alongside the weekly rate.
Toys & Water Equipment
The water toy inventory includes two Yamaha VX Deluxe WaveRunners, two seabobs, kayaks, a wakeboard, a jet ski and fishing equipment, plus dive compressor and scuba gear to support the onboard dive center.
Tender coverage includes a Wajer 38 Open Tender for the Mediterranean season and a Yellowfin tender for winter cruising, backed up by two further Yachtwerft Meyer tenders.
