About Oculus
The Australian shipyard Oceanfast delivered the 39.01-meter (128-foot) Oculus in 1996, drawing on exterior styling from Jon Bannenberg and naval architecture from Phil Curran. Sam Sorgiovanni reworked the interior top to bottom during a 2020 refit backed by a multi-million dollar budget. She now carries up to 10 guests across five cabins, with a crew of seven running the charter. Among motor yachts in her size class built for warm-water cruising, Oculus stands out for her social deck spaces and an unusually deep water toy inventory.
Her charter program bases out of Paradise Island in the Bahamas for the summer season, relocating to Fort Lauderdale, Florida for the winter months, with day charters also available locally around Paradise Island. The semi-displacement GRP hull keeps her comfortable at anchor and underway, and her open foredeck and sundeck are built around entertaining rather than long-distance passages, a layout that suits groups planning island-hopping itineraries around the Bahamas rather than a transatlantic crossing.
Guest Accommodation
Oculus sleeps up to 10 guests in five staterooms. The on-deck master suite carries a king-size island berth and gives occupants use of the entire bridge deck when the owner requests privacy. Below deck, three further guest cabins include a port double, a starboard twin, and a forward stateroom that converts between twin and double configurations, while a separate VIP stateroom sits forward of the bridge deck.
The bed mix (one king, one queen, one double, and twin-configurable berths) gives charter guests planning a trip flexibility to match the cabin layout to a mixed group of couples and friends. For guidance on how cabin counts translate to total capacity across different yacht sizes, see this guide on how many guests a yacht can comfortably sleep.
Onboard Amenities
The sundeck is built for socializing, with a deck jacuzzi, generous lounge seating, and an outdoor cinema screen for evenings at anchor. A floating island extends from the swim platform, giving guests easy access to the water and the toy locker without needing to launch a tender first.
Guests have Wi-Fi connectivity throughout the charter, along with air conditioning across all interior spaces.

Toys & Water Equipment
Oculus carries one of the more varied toy lockers in her size class. A climbing wall and inflatable slide run off the swim platform, alongside a hydrofoil board, efoil, and a towable tube for guests who want a faster pace. Jet skis, waterskis, a kite surfer, wakeboards, paddleboards, and snorkeling equipment round out the lineup for calmer days on the water.
Two tenders are carried for transfers and excursions, led by an 11.28-meter (37-foot) Axopar. Between the toy inventory and the shaded, open deck plan, Oculus is built around active days on the water as much as relaxed evenings at anchor.
