About Oryx

Oryx is a 40.24 metre (132′) motor yacht built by Benetti as part of the Classic Supreme 132 series, launched in 2013 and refitted in 2017. Exterior styling comes from Stefano Righini and the interior from Francois Zuretti, pairing a semi-displacement GRP hull with a layout built for long-range comfort. She accommodates up to 10 guests across 5 cabins with a crew of 8, and her 42,800 litre fuel capacity gives her a cruising range of around 3,500 nautical miles.

Design and Heritage

Zuretti’s interior work is well known among charter guests who favor a tailored, residential feel over showroom minimalism. His past clients include Adnan Khashoggi, and that pedigree shows in Oryx’s warm wood paneling, leather furnishings, and considered sightlines through the saloon and dining areas.

Twin MTU 12V2000 engines, rated at 1,450hp each, give Oryx a cruising speed of 14.5 knots and a top speed of 15.5 knots. That performance profile, common among Benetti’s semi-displacement models, favors a smooth, stable ride over outright speed, which matters most to charter guests spending consecutive days aboard rather than making short hops.

Oryx has logged relatively few engine hours for a yacht of her age and size, a detail charter brokers sometimes flag as a sign of careful upkeep rather than heavy commercial use. Combined with the 2017 refit, she presents in excellent condition for her build year, and her gross tonnage of 346 puts her comfortably in the upper range of the charter fleet for guest space per cabin.

Guest Accommodation

The 5 cabins sleep 10 guests in a mix of configurations. The full-beam master suite includes a separate dressing room and study alongside a his-and-hers en suite bathroom, giving the primary guests genuine private space rather than just a larger bed than the other cabins.

Two double cabins and two twin cabins complete the guest accommodation, each with its own en suite bathroom. This mix suits both couples traveling together and families who want twin berths for children or additional guests, without anyone compromising on privacy.

A crew of 8 supports the full guest count of 10, keeping service attentive without feeling crowded. That ratio is generous for a yacht of this size and reflects the level of service typical of a motor yacht charter in this class.

Onboard Amenities

Exterior deck spaces are built for both dining and relaxing outdoors. A Portuguese bridge and expansive sun deck sit alongside an exterior bar, BBQ station, and a deck jacuzzi for guests to use en route or at anchor. Sunpads are spread across multiple deck levels for guests who want to split time between shade and open sun.

Below deck, a sauna adds a wellness option beyond the usual sun deck routine, and the stern swimming platform gives easy water access for swimming or boarding tenders. A tender garage keeps water toys and the yacht’s tender stowed out of sight until they are needed.

These features work well for charter guests planning a mix of active days on the water and quieter time relaxing onboard, whether that means an afternoon swim off the platform or evening drinks at the exterior bar.
