About
Scorpios is a 52.3 meters (171 feet) sailing yacht built in 2023 by Tramontana, with the hull constructed at Croatia’s Radez shipyard. She is a motor-sailer rather than a pure sailing yacht, pairing her rig with the cruising comfort and amenities more typical of a large motor yacht, and her dark hull profile is unusual among charter yachts of this size.
NO.mad Design handled the interior, where herringbone woodblock flooring runs through the main salon. Scorpios sleeps 12 guests across 6 cabins and carries a crew of 10, making her one of the larger sailing yachts currently chartering in the Croatia and East Mediterranean market.
Guest Accommodation
Scorpios’ 6 cabins include a master suite, a VIP cabin, and 4 further cabins that convert between double and twin configurations. That flexibility makes it easier to accommodate a mixed group of couples, friends, or family across a 12-guest charter.
Onboard Amenities
The main salon’s herringbone wood flooring is one of the more distinctive interior details on a yacht this size, part of NO.mad Design’s broader approach to the space. Scorpios also carries an RYA-affiliated training setup onboard, giving guests who want to learn to sail somewhere to start rather than just a backdrop to admire.
Cruising Performance
Twin Baudouin diesel engines, each rated at around 700 to 750hp, give Scorpios a cruising speed of about 10 knots and a top speed of 14 knots. A draft of roughly 3 meters (10 feet) keeps most of the Adriatic’s harbors and anchorages accessible without ruling out the deeper marinas favored by larger motor yachts.
Toys & Water Equipment
Scorpios carries one of the more complete toy inventories in her class: two Seadoo jet skis, two Seabobs, a wakeboard, an e-foil, paddleboards, waterski gear, fishing equipment, and snorkeling gear for up to 6 guests. A sea scooter and a VR headset for seasickness relief round out the list, the latter a genuinely unusual piece of kit on a charter yacht.
