About Sky

Sky is a 35.97 meter (118′) motor yacht built by Broward Marine in Fort Lauderdale in 1995 and refit in 2025, with interiors by Robin Rose & Associates. She carries up to 8 guests in 4 staterooms with a crew of 5, and her raised pilothouse profile, wide walk-around decks, and overhung bow place her firmly in the tradition of American yard-built motor yachts from that era.

Guest Accommodation

Sky sleeps 8 guests across 4 cabins. The full-beam master occupies the forward end of the accommodation deck and spans the yacht’s entire beam, fitted with his-and-hers bathrooms, a detail that few charter yachts in this length range offer.

Two further double cabins sit aft as VIP staterooms, and a midships double completes the layout. Each of the 4 cabins has its own private ensuite bathroom, so no guest party needs to share facilities regardless of how the group is organized.

Onboard Amenities

Sky’s wide walk-around decks, a benefit of her Broward-era design, let guests move fore and aft without squeezing past furniture or crew. Shaded bow seating, an aft deck lounge, and the flybridge cover the rest of the day, from a quiet coffee at sunrise to drinks as the sun goes down.

A 5.18 meter (17′) AB Inflatables tender handles guest transfers and beach runs. For time in the water, Sky carries jet skis, wakeboards, a selection of inflatable water toys, and snorkeling equipment, enough variety to keep both younger guests and adults occupied without repeating the same activity every afternoon.

Design and Performance

Broward Marine built some of the most recognizable American motor yachts of the late 20th century, and Sky carries the shipyard’s signature details: a raised pilothouse with wraparound visibility, teak decking, and walnut guardrails. A comprehensive 2025 refit updated her interior finishes and systems while keeping that original character intact, so the Robin Rose & Associates interior guests see today is close to the original design, refreshed rather than replaced.

Twin Detroit Diesel engines power Sky to a cruising speed of 14 knots and a top speed of 20 knots. Her aluminium hull and superstructure, paired with a semi-displacement hull form, give her a seaworthy, stable motion at speed, and stabilisers operate while running to keep the ride settled during longer passages.
