About Something Cool
Something Cool is a 149 ft (45.48 m) motor yacht built by the Italian yard CRN in Ancona. Launched in 1981 and extensively refitted in 2023, she pairs a classic profile with contemporary interiors and systems throughout. Based in Athens and sailing under Greek flag, she accommodates up to 12 guests across 7 cabins, with a crew of 10 on board to run the charter.
Something Cool’s charter history spans four regions and more: the Greek islands, Croatia, Turkey and the South of France, with further seasons in the Caribbean. That range lets guests weigh a Greece itinerary against a Bahamas escape without switching yachts. Families and multi-generational groups tend to do particularly well aboard, thanks to a cabin mix that includes a pullman berth alongside the usual double and twin layouts.
Guest Accommodation
Something Cool sleeps 12 guests across seven cabins: a master suite, two VIP cabins, and four twin cabins, one of which includes an additional Pullman berth for a child or extra guest. Every cabin has its own en-suite bathroom, and the master and VIP suites include a bathtub.
The additional Pullman berth gives the layout useful flexibility for families traveling with children or groups who want an extra sleeping option without sacrificing privacy elsewhere. A crew of 10 looks after the yacht, a ratio that supports attentive service across both the cabins and the wide deck and entertainment areas described below.
Onboard Amenities
Air conditioning and Wi-Fi run throughout Something Cool, and fin stabilizers operate both at anchor and underway to keep her settled whether guests are relaxing at a quiet anchorage or making way between stops. A set of gym equipment, including a stationary bicycle, free weights and yoga gear, is fitted for guests who want to keep up a routine during the charter.
Entertainment options include a dedicated living room television and individual smart TVs in every cabin, along with a wireless sound system that lets different zones play music independently. Deck furniture includes large sofas and a lounge sunbed area, giving guests multiple spaces to spread out between swims.

Cruising Performance
Twin Deutz engines, each rated at 747 hp, give Something Cool a cruising speed of 12 knots and a top speed of 13 knots. Built with a steel hull and aluminum superstructure, she carries a gross tonnage of around 317 GT and a range of roughly 1,690 nautical miles, enough to make the longer crossings between her Mediterranean and Caribbean seasons without difficulty.
That range and her displacement-style build suit guests planning a slower-paced, scenic itinerary over island-hopping at speed, with enough endurance to cover meaningful distance between anchorages when a longer passage is part of the plan.
Toys & Water Equipment
Something Cool’s water toy locker holds a dozen pieces of equipment for a yacht her size. Charter guests have access to two Seabobs, two Sea-Doo jet skis, two stand-up paddleboards, a kayak, three towable tubes, an inflatable Scout for two to three riders and a set of adult water skis.
- 2 x Seabobs
- 2 x Sea-Doo jet skis
- 2 x stand-up paddleboards
- 1 x kayak
- 3 x towable tubes
- 1 x inflatable Scout (2-3 riders)
- Adult water skis
Two tenders cover transfers ashore: a 17 ft (5.3 m) Zodiac with a 115 hp Yamaha outboard, and a 12 ft (3.6 m) Highfield with a 40 hp Honda outboard. Between the toy count and the tender pairing, Something Cool is well equipped for an active week on the water wherever her season takes her.
