About Starburst III

The 47.5m/155’10” motor yacht Starburst III is the first hull in Bilgin Yachts’ 156 series, delivered in 2017 and refitted in 2019 with a dark grey repaint and refreshed interior finishes. Built with a steel hull and aluminum superstructure to a full-displacement design, she carries 10 guests and a crew of 9, set up for Mediterranean cruising with a strong emphasis on outdoor living and multiple social zones across her decks.

Naval architecture and exterior design are the work of Unique Yacht Design, and the interior spaces were shaped by the team at H2 Yacht Design. At roughly 494-499 GT, Starburst III offers generous volume for her length, a detail that shows up most clearly in her guest cabins.

Guest Accommodation

Starburst III sleeps 10 guests in her 5 cabins. Her owner-style suite runs the full beam of the main deck and adds a private balcony and office, keeping it well separated from the guest quarters below.

Below, the layout groups 3 double staterooms with 1 twin berth instead of the 5-room split typical on yachts this size. Charter guests often notice the payoff: with one fewer cabin to fit in, each room ends up meaningfully bigger than the standard for this length.

Onboard Amenities

Two jacuzzis anchor the yacht’s outdoor living spaces. One sits on the sundeck with a glass floor that lets light spill into the room directly beneath, and a second is tucked forward on the bridge deck, wrapped in U-shaped sofa seating for a more sheltered spot to unwind.

At sea level, a beach club spanning roughly 35 square meters of combined indoor and outdoor space doubles as the tender garage and houses a Technogym-equipped fitness area, with a treadmill, exercise bike, multi-purpose strength machine, and a set of dumbbells on hand. The main saloon’s electronic sliding doors can open the space fully to the outdoors, and a sky lounge with panoramic views adds a further social space beyond the al fresco dining area and bar on the aft upper deck.

Comfort is rounded out by zero-speed fin stabilizers for reduced motion at anchor and underway, underwater lights for evening ambience, and Wi-Fi and air conditioning throughout.

Performance & Range

Twin diesel engines from MTU, model 12V 2000 M72 and each producing 1,450 horsepower, settle Starburst III into a 12-knot pace and can push her to 16 knots flat out. Cruising range comes in around 5,000 nautical miles, drawn from an onboard fuel capacity near 63,000 liters.

A 2.5m draft keeps a wide range of Mediterranean anchorages within reach, a practical advantage for charter guests planning an itinerary around smaller harbors and coves rather than only the deeper-water marinas.

Toys & Water Equipment

A fast jet tender handles shore transfers, backed by a water toy inventory built for both speed and leisure. A pair of Sea-Doo Rotax RXP-X 300 personal watercraft and two Seabob F5 underwater scooters cover the higher-energy side, and there’s also waterski and wakeboard gear for guests leaning toward more classic watersports.

For quieter time on the water, three stand-up boards and a tandem kayak round out the options, while a set of Nautibuoy inflatable docks keeps the personal watercraft organized near the swim platform. A snorkeling kit, fishing tackle, and assorted inflatable towables fill out the rest of the equipment on board.
