About Sunrays

The 85.5m (280’6”) motor yacht Sunrays, built by the prestigious Dutch shipyard Oceanco, delivers an exceptional charter platform with accommodation for up to twelve guests in nine cabins. Her bold and contemporary interiors were conceived by celebrated British designer Terence Disdale.

Designed on a grand scale, Sunrays offers a rare combination of volume, comfort, and lifestyle-driven amenities. Multiple decks are dedicated to entertainment, wellness, and relaxation, with standout features including a full spa, beauty salon, beach club, gym, elevator, and striking underwater illumination.

Exterior Design & Profile

Sunrays presents a confident and unmistakable profile, defined by fluid lines and the signature “dagger” motif that runs through her exterior styling. This design language draws inspiration from Bjørn’s acclaimed Mirage concept, creating a yacht that feels both powerful and timeless.

Interior Design & Layout

The interior brief called for a modern aesthetic with a strong sense of individuality, a challenge met with impressive results by Terence Disdale Design. Throughout the yacht, rare and tactile materials are layered to create depth and character, including hand-carved wood, mother-of-pearl accents, cow horn veneers, crushed shell, shagreen, parchment, and custom leathers.

At the centre of the interior is a dramatic main stairwell, where a cylindrical glass-and-steel elevator rises through carved wooden walls upholstered in mushroom leather, setting the tone for the yacht’s refined yet daring design.

Guest Accommodation

Delivered in 2010, Sunrays accommodates twelve guests across nine elegant suites, including a spacious master suite, three VIP cabins, two double cabins, and two twin cabins. A highly trained crew of twenty-seven is on hand to deliver discreet, attentive service and create a seamless charter experience from start to finish.

Onboard Amenities

Life aboard Sunrays is shaped around choice and flexibility. Guests can host celebrations on the dedicated dancefloor, enjoy live music at the piano, or retreat to the spa and steam room for moments of calm. A swimming pool provides space for gentle exercise or quiet relaxation, while the beach club offers effortless indoor-outdoor living at sea level.

Fitness enthusiasts will appreciate the fully equipped gym, while those seeking pure relaxation can unwind in the deck jacuzzi. An elevator connects all decks for easy access, and modern comforts such as Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and underwater lighting ensure the yacht remains enjoyable day and night.

Performance & Range

Constructed with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, Sunrays features a full-displacement design that delivers excellent stability and long-range capability. Twin MTU engines provide a cruising speed of 14 knots and a top speed of 20 knots. At 12 knots, she offers an impressive range of approximately 7,850 nautical miles, supported by at-anchor stabilisers for enhanced comfort.

Toys & Water Equipment

Sunrays carries an extensive collection of water toys designed to appeal to guests of all ages. Highlights include a large inflatable waterslide, multiple Jet Skis, three Yamaha FX SHO CR WaveRunners, seabobs, waterskis, wakeboards, towable inflatables, and scuba diving equipment.

Four tenders support the yacht’s operations, including an impressive 14.9m (48’11”) Blackbird tender, ensuring seamless transfers and memorable on-the-water experiences.

Sunrays is available for charter in the Mediterranean during the summer season and in the Indian Ocean during winter, with bookings now open for upcoming itineraries.

Combining remarkable design, outstanding amenities, and an experienced crew, Sunrays offers a superyacht charter experience defined by scale, comfort, and individuality.
