The 208ft (63.4m) expedition motor yacht SuRi, built by Halter Marine, is designed for guests who want to reach genuinely remote destinations without giving up the comforts of a high-end private yacht. With interiors by Jeffrey Botwin, her spaces balance elegance with the kind of relaxed, social atmosphere that suits extended voyages.

A charter on SuRi suits adventurous groups who want more than a standard Mediterranean loop. The helipad, long-range fuel capacity, and professional crew of 17 make her equally at home in the Caribbean, along the Central American coastline, or cruising northern European waters where logistics demand a self-sufficient vessel.

Guest Accommodation

SuRi accommodates up to 12 guests across 7 suites, a configuration that works well for mixed groups combining couples, families, and solo travellers who want genuine privacy between cabins. The layout includes a master suite, four VIP cabins, one double cabin, and one twin cabin, giving the charter party real flexibility when assigning rooms.

The 11 total berths include 6 king beds, 1 queen bed, 1 double bed, 4 single beds, and 1 convertible, so the cabin mix accommodates a wide range of group or corporate arrangements without compromise. Built in 1978 and carefully maintained through the years, SuRi’s proportions reflect her expedition origins: generous corridors, practical storage, and shared spaces designed for use at sea, not just at anchor.

SuRi’s performance profile is built around range rather than speed, which is exactly what her charter itineraries require. Her steel hull and aluminium superstructure, paired with twin Caterpillar engines, deliver a cruising speed of 10 knots, a top speed of 13 knots, and a published range of 9,900 nautical miles at 11 knots from her 241,256-litre fuel capacity.

That range is a meaningful operational advantage for guests chartering in areas like Central America or the wider Caribbean, where distances between anchorages are greater, and provisioning stops must be planned carefully. Stabilisers at anchor add comfort during overnight stops in exposed locations, which expedition-oriented itineraries often require.
