About Unexpected

Unexpected is a 37.7m (123’8″) motor yacht built by Heesen in 2001 and refit in 2021. Naval architecture and exterior design came from Omega Architects and Vripack working jointly, while the interior was shaped by Omega Architects with Elise Boers. The yacht has picked up multiple industry awards over the years and carries a crew of 7 for up to 10 guests across 5 cabins.

Guest Accommodation

Unexpected sleeps 10 guests across 5 cabins. The master suite sits forward on the main deck, giving the owner’s party a private zone away from the lower deck cabins and easy access to the saloon.

Below deck there is a VIP cabin, two double cabins and one twin cabin, for a total of 10 fixed and convertible beds: 1 king, 2 queens, 1 double and 2 singles. Four pullman berths are also fitted, which crew can make up on request for children or additional guests traveling with a family group.

Onboard Amenities

Air conditioning runs throughout the yacht, and WiFi keeps guests connected in every cabin and living area. A deck jacuzzi anchors the outdoor space, with stabilizers fitted for both at anchor and underway use to keep motion to a minimum in open water or a rolly harbor.

A gym with exercise equipment is also on board, letting guests keep up a workout routine without leaving the yacht.

Performance

Twin Caterpillar engines power Unexpected to a cruising speed of around 10 to 14 knots, with a top speed of 26 knots when needed. Fuel tanks holding 54,000 liters give the yacht a range of up to 2,200 nautical miles, enough to cover long passages between destinations without frequent refueling stops.
