About Aegean Clipper

Aegean Clipper is a 41-metre (134’6″) traditional wooden gulet, designed by Captain Ergün Malatyalı and built in 1998-99, registered under the Turkish flag out of Bodrum. She has been refitted more than once, most recently in 2023 according to her operator, following earlier work reported by brokers in 2019 and 2016. Her 41-metre length overall compares to a 33-metre length on deck, a traditional ketch-rigged motor-sailer hull with teak decking throughout. As a large-capacity gulet she is built for groups rather than small private parties, with an 11-cabin layout that is unusually consistent across every source reviewed.

Guest Accommodation

Aegean Clipper sleeps up to 22 guests across 11 cabins: a master suite, four double cabins and six twin cabins. A crew of around 6 runs the yacht day to day. Every cabin has full air conditioning, including overnight.

Onboard Amenities

Beyond air conditioning, Aegean Clipper carries gym equipment, an ice maker, satellite TV, a salon TV and DVD system with stereo, full bar facilities, continuous hot water, a dishwasher and a deep-freezer. On deck, a flybridge with remote-control helm and its own sunbathing area sits above a sun awning, bimini and deck shower, details that go beyond the standard gulet brochure.

Cruising Performance

Power comes from a single 550hp Caterpillar diesel, giving a cruising speed of 6 knots and a top speed of 10 knots, backed by 42kVA and 28.5kVA generators.

Aegean Clipper spends her summer season cruising the Aegean, splitting her time between Greece and the Turkish coast.

Her winter programme stays in Turkey alone, based out of Bodrum, with regular stops at Fethiye, Göcek, Gökova, Hisarönü and Marmaris along the Turkish Riviera.

Toys & Water Equipment

The toy inventory covers two tenders (a 15hp model for 4 guests and a 60hp model for 8), adult and kids’ waterskis, a windsurfer, a wakeboard, a towable tube, two single-person kayaks, a dozen sets of snorkelling gear, beach games and fishing tackle. Diving is rendezvous-only, since there’s no onboard compressor, arranged through an external dive operator. Guests wanting to water-ski at speed can also add an optional 60hp or 80hp speedboat, a detail specific to this yacht rather than a standard gulet inclusion.
