About Virtuoso

The 114 ft (34.6 m) sailing gulet Virtuoso was custom-built in Turkey in 2003 and refitted in 2017, with naval architecture by Vento Yachting Design and interior styling by Aleks Banakis. Constructed with a traditional wood hull and superstructure and rigged as a schooner, she carries up to 12 guests in 6 cabins with a crew of around 5 to 6.

Virtuoso’s broad teak decks and sail-powered character suit guests who want a slower, more traditional style of Mediterranean cruising than many faster charter yachts offer. She works well for families and groups of friends looking for relaxed island-hopping around the East Mediterranean’s sheltered bays and anchorages, with the flexibility of auxiliary power when needed.

Guest Accommodation

Virtuoso accommodates up to 12 guests across 6 cabins, typically configured as 2 master suites, 3 double cabins and 1 twin cabin, with minor variation in exact layout reported between sources. Each cabin has en-suite facilities, which suits multi-family or multi-generational charters.

A crew of around 5 to 6 looks after guests throughout the charter, handling navigation, housekeeping and meal service, and the onboard experience stays comfortable despite the yacht’s traditional sailing style.

Onboard Amenities

Onboard, Virtuoso offers air conditioning throughout and Wi-Fi for guests who want to stay connected. The main saloon provides a comfortable indoor lounge and dining area, while the aft deck is set up for outdoor dining under shade, a layout typical of gulets and well suited to evening meals at anchor.

For days on the water, Virtuoso carries a tender along with water skis, a canoe, a paddleboard and snorkeling equipment, enough to fill in swim stops and shoreside excursions with a reasonable range of activities.

Performance & Range

Built with a wood hull and wood superstructure and rigged as a schooner, Virtuoso cruises comfortably at 9 knots and reaches a maximum speed of around 11 knots. This is in keeping with her character as a traditional sailing gulet rather than a high-speed charter yacht.

That pace suits shorter, scenic itineraries with frequent stops rather than long open-water passages, and it gives guests a more relaxed rhythm of cruising between anchorages.
